Delwyn's Funeral

The funeral for Delwyn will be on Thursday 23rd of July, 1:00pm at Delhuntie Park, 21 Cemetery Rd, Trafalgar East. It is hoped it will be more of a celebration of the wonderful life she lived, than mourning her death.

It was Del's wish, that rather than buy flowers to bring to the funeral that people provide a donation to Del's favourite charity. (I'll let you know what that is soon).

We've been touched by the wonderful words of encouragement from so many people all over the world! It is very much appreciated. Her life touched more people than we knew!

Thank you for updating us with info re Del.I have just find this blog and am very sorry to hear she has passed away. My love to her family specially to Helen. I can not immagine the pain they suffer going through these 3+ years. May our Heavenly Father give them courage and return their joy. We know we will see her again and that great morning when our Savior appears

Ode to Del...

There was movement up in Heaven,
For the word had passed around,
Delwyn Scales spirit had arrived,
You could hardly hear a sound.

Every heavenly soul, dearly departed,
Had gathered to catch a glance,
Of this beautiful 'Scale' spirit,
Who lived life as a merry dance.

To family & friends left on Earth,
Her simle would always please us,
Our loss, is the Saviours gain,
Now she dances with her Jesus.

God Bless you Del.

Del was the most beautiful soul that I have ever met. She showed how to love God, and spend time with Him. She also showed me how to be a good friend, to love and care for others. Her death is a great loss to everyone who has ever known her...but when she wakes she will see her Saviour. Thank you for this blog site and for keeping us updated. Much love, Toni

I haven't seen Del for ages, but will always remember her cheekiness and her smile. She always saw the good in everyone and she inspired those who had contact with her to be the best person they could be. Elwyn (Smelly) & Helen, she is a credit to you, to what you stand for. I am so sad for your loss. I wish I could help. I pray God will strengthen you all with his love and his grace over the coming weeks and months. I'm sorry I can't attend tomorrow. I would love to be there, but I just found this blog by accident. Please accept my deepest sympathy. With love, Belinda Morrison.
